Burrell Consulting Group was excited to celebrate with Kubota Tractor Corporation on the recent grand opening of their first phase. Sitting on 45 acres, the impressive 631, 465 square-foot Kubota Western Distribution Center is by far the largest single-story building in Elk Grove, CA. The superstructure was perfectly designed to accentuate the heart of California’s agriculture and we are proud to be a part of another great business that brings a positive impact to the community. Even though this new Western Division Facility is continuing to grow and expand, they’ve already provided jobs for over 100 California residents.
Undoubtedly, the gigantic infrastructure has caught the eye of many drivers and onlookers along Grant Line Road in Elk Grove. To complete this project, our team at Burrell worked alongside the City and County staff for two years. We assisted with the widening of Grant Line Road – going from two to four lanes. Our team also assisted in the preparation for the new traffic signals and the detached bike line which earned them an American Public Works Association Project of the Year Award.
“This is the biggest building in my 45-year design engineering career; being almost 15 acres under roof. Another way to appreciate the scale of the building is that it is over 2 football fields wide by 3 football fields long,” Jerry Aplass, President of Burrell Consulting Group. The Kubota Western Distribution Center is a project that Burrell and Kubota can both be proud of, and we are excited about the growth that Kubota will continue to experience in this space.
