Trap Shooting with Burrell

On March 8, 2024, Burrell had their first company event of the season! After some seriously close poll numbers in corporate-wide voting, shooting at Coon Creek Trap and Shoot won a place on our calendars. Due to the attendees’ varying levels of familiarity with shotguns and firearms in general, our organizing staff had several meetings prior to the event to ensure an emphasis on safety and a high degree of respect for the weapons. Once instilled, these mantras readily transferred to the day of our event and were easily practiced by every member of our team, which made the rest of the event go off without a hitch. 

Our team members who had never held a gun before found a new sense of achievement and confidence by the end of the event. And for the avid hunters in our office, a hearty competition for best out of 25 developed. Scores were close and even came down to a tiebreaker for a coveted spot in the top 5. In the end, Jerry, our president, reigned supreme as Top Shot! By the time we finished up, our team fired off over 900 shots, along with the bruises to prove it!
