1130 K Street, Sacramento: The Best Real Estate Project for a New Office 

 In an exciting announcement, the Sacramento Business Journal’s latest issue (Vol. 40, No. 30, September 8-14, 2023) has declared 1130 K Street, Sacramento, as the best real estate project for a new office. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication put forth by the construction team and our long-time client, White Star. 

This project was a particularly unique opportunity for Burrell Consulting Group’s survey team. We don’t often get to provide the survey layout for a new floor on the roof of an existing building! One of the most challenging aspects of our survey was properly establishing the new floor on the rooftop. The structural columns needed to match up with the existing building’s columns that were not visible from the roof. To accomplish this, our field crew had to survey the original bolt patterns on the columns underneath the existing rooftop. Burrell then analyzed all of the field data in our office. Field staking was then provided to lay out the new building columns to line up with the existing columns below. 

1130 K Street: A Prime Location

The K Street building is at the heart of downtown Sacramento and sits perfectly in the city’s bustling business district. Its proximity to major transportation, dining, shopping, and cultural landmarks makes it ideal for businesses looking to operate in Sacramento. 1130 K Street was originally built in 1924 and was primitively structured to add additional floors, which made this project’s outcome a success. The building, once a retail area, is now a Class A office space with two additional upper floors.
